"The FFT Advantage"

Northrop Grumman developed FFT for delivery of files over highly latent and degraded networks. The briefing will cover what FFT is and how it compares to FTP. Included in the discussion will be the problems with FTP, current industry solutions, some basics on how FFT overcomes them, and the advantages the FFT has to offer.

The talk will be somewhat technical in nature covering some background in computer architecture and the work currently being done at AMD. As some of you may know, we have had representatives come to speak in the past and their presentations are very interesting and well attended events.

Why? Get Linux up and running on your system and socialize with fellow CS students. No need to bring monitor, keyboard, etc, just the computer itself.
