Campus Safety Reports
Monday 10/22
At 4:10 p.m. a female student reported that at 3:45 p.m. she was walking on the sidewalk east of the East Beltline leading to the East Beltline parking lot. The student reported that a male subject stopped his vehicle along side of her and asked if she need a ride. The student stated that she declined the ride and observed that the male subject had his pants down and was exposing himself.
Tuesday 10/23
At 7:45 a.m. Campus Safety responded to a request for medical assistance near the entrance drive to the Seminary. A staff member had stepped into an unmarked hole and injured his ankle. The victim was assisted to his residence.
At 9:30 a.m. the construction site superintendent reported that sometime overnight someone removed a work light from the construction site.
At 4:40 p.m. a student reported that she had been involved in a minor vehicle accident off campus around 1:10 p.m. The student stated that the driver of the other vehicle involved in the accident followed her to campus and made unwanted remarks and started following her around campus. The student stated that when she entered the Engineering Building the subject stopped following her and left campus. The student stated she had reported the accident to the Kentwood Police Department.
Thursday 10/25
At 12:10 a.m. Campus Safety responded to a request for medical assistance in Kalsbeek-Huizinga Residence Hall. A student was having trouble breathing and was speaking incoherently. The victim stated that she had not been taking her medication since she was waiting for an additional supply of the medication from home. The student was advised that she should seek further medical attention but refused transportation to a medical facility.
At 1:15 p.m. a student in Noordewier-VanderWerp Residence Hall reported that he had been receiving annoying phone calls for several weeks. The information on the calls was turned over to the Telecommunication Department for further investigation.
At 3:50 p.m. a student reported that construction material from the construction site near her residence hall had blown into her vehicle causing damage to the rear bumper.
At 6:10 p.m. a staff member reported that sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. damage was done to the hood of her vehicle while it was parked in the west lot.
Friday 10/26
At 8:50 a.m. Campus Safety invested a two vehicle accident in the FAC parking lot. A vehicle backing out of a parking space struck an illegally parked vehicle causing damage to the parked vehicle.
Saturday 10/27
At 8:05 p.m. a Seminary student reported that at 2:30 p.m. she locked her bicycle to the bike rack near the east entrance of the Seminary. The student stated that when she returned for the bicycle at 5:00 p.m. the bicycle was missing. The bike was described as a red mountain bike.
Monday 10/29
At 9:20 a.m. a Food Service employee reported that sometime over the weekend a refrigerator in the Faculty Dining Room had been broken into and items removed from the refrigerator.
At 10:00 a.m. Campus Safety observed a vehicle in the south PE parking lot with full alcohol containers inside the vehicle. The information on the owner of the vehicle was turned over to the Dean's Office for further action.
Tuesday 10/30
A staff member reported that sometime since the evening of Friday, 10-26-2001 someone removed a gas powered blower from a storage room in the Fine Arts Center. The blower was first noticed missing on Monday, 10-29-2001.
Friday 11/2
At 5:20 p.m. a staff member in the PE Building reported that the scoreboard sound system was missing. The system was last seen on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2001 at 8:30 p.m.
