Campus Safety Report


Tuesday 2/5

-At 9:00AM Campus Safety investigated a two vehicle accident near the Physical Education Building. A northbound vehicle turning left into the parking lot struck a southbound vehicle causing damage to both vehicles.

-At 2:30PM Campus Safety responded to a request for medical assistance in the plaza area south of Johnny's Café. A student had fallen on the ice and sustained a knee injury. The victim was treated at the scene and assisted to Health Services for further treatment.

-At 4:15PM Campus Safety responded to a request for medical assistance in the Library Lobby. A worker at the blood drive was described as having an elevated blood pressure. An ambulance was requested and treated the employee at the scene.

Wednesday 2/6

-At 9:45AM Campus Safety responded to a report of a fire in the coffee kitchen on first floor of Timmer Residence Hall. Food in an unattended toaster had caught fire. The RA had used a fire extinguisher to put out the fire.

Friday 2/8

-At 10:37PM Campus Safety observed a student in the Physical Education Building that appeared intoxicated. The student was given a field sobriety test which indicated the presence of alcohol. The student was removed from the building and taken home by his friends. The information of the student was turned over to the Dean's Office for further action.
