 | Although winter term typically has concluded with the running of the Naked Mile, a committee organized to coordinate the University of Michigan's response to the run hopes to curb participation in the event, which it sees as a safety hazard. The committee plans to begin a publicity campaign to advertise the dangers associated with the event -- including assaults and other violations in the crowd, such as weapons violations in past years -- and to coordinate the enforcement of indecent exposure and alcohol laws.
