Calvin Game of the Week

SWIMMING VS. HOPE/K-ZOO AT HOPE: JAN. 25, 1 PM

Coming off an exhilarating week, Calvin’s men and women’s swim teams look to continue their fairy tale success come Saturday when they travel to Hope, taking on both Hope and Kalamazoo. With fairy tales, anything can happen. The second oldest Calvin swim record can even be broken, like it was last weekend at the hands and feet of freshman swimmer Abby Johnson, who now holds the 100m butterfly time of 59.57. She takes the record from former Calvin All-American Jackie Belyea, who established her time of 59.66 back in 󈨟. On the men’s side, Calvin continues to rack up wins, last weekend downing Ashland 67-65, steamrolling Hillsdale 114-14. They now stand at 6-4 in dual meets, under the leadership of several star athletes. In their dominating wins last weekend, they accumulated seven total first place wins. Calvin's swim team has consistently posted solid scores, and hope to continue this winning streak come Saturday.
