2003: Memories and reflections Whoa. The new year has come. Literally. What happened to the time? It seems like only yesterday I was fretting about what college to go to and obsessed with trying to read the mind of the boy who sat in front of me in biology. I guess the old saying rings true: “If only I would have known then what I know now.” Maybe I would have appreciated my youth so much more. Maybe I wouldn’t have wanted to grow up so fast. Maybe I would have taken time to cherish the perspective of life I had as a child. Maybe I would have done a lot of things differently. But I didn’t. Could have, should have and would have are only words in this life, and nostalgia at its finest is but a quiet thought. So, in this quiet thought of longing for the good ol’ days of pogs, gigapets, and pulling my sibling’s hair, I’ve decided to skip the resolution hype that surrounds the new year and instead reminisce, hope and be thankful.
