Students for Non-Ignorance and the Understanding of Hilarity (SNUH) is a brand new student-led organization at Calvin College. It aspires to the following mission:

1) To instill a love of The Simpsons into the hearts of the Calvin community.
2) To not only absorb, but to readily discern the worldview of the creators of the aforementioned show.
3) To apply what is learned in our meetings to our daily living, that we might not be of the world but able to live in it.

As The Simpsons is a staple of American popular culture and has been for over a decade, we wish to evaluate the message it sends to the American people. And, as television serves as a cultural ambassador to foreign nations, we will strive to determine the effects, both positive and adverse, that this program has on our relationships with people outside of the American culture.
